HeartPeace Now for Your Business or Organization
- awakening the inner peacemakers in groups...
Do you have "problem employees" or conflicts between employees? Are relationships suffering because of the need for change during
contracting and downsizing times?
Do you wonder why these things always seem to be happening to you – or to your group? And do you wish you could find a solution?
Did you ever wish you had someone who would just take care of all
your change and conflict problems for you?
The KEY to greater and more harmonious organizational productivity is to be able to understand, manage and transcend conflict. It really is always about conflict! With greater understanding about the nature of conflict, you will come to know that conflict is the gift that keeps on giving!
Shifting your perceptions about conflict is the way out and the way UP!
We're talking about a NEW genre of peacemakers here. Being an awakened peacemaker is not some strumming guitars and flowers concept with everyone singing Kum ba ya. Instead of perpetual compromise, being a doormat or just ignoring what others do, an awakened peacemaker performs like a team player, positively impacts the bottom line and consistently demonstrates an inner and outer sense of balance. Awakened peacemakers effectively manage their own energies and help others to pave a new and different way to effectively achieve individual and group goals.
I have worked in and consulted with governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, small entrepreneurial businesses, faith organizations, and assisted others in creating action plans to shift perceptions and provide the safety and structure for authentic grievance resolutions and problem solving.
My passion and experiences can help your business or organization better understand, manage and transcend conflict. I would love to help facilitate a deeper sense of HeartPeace for you and your business or organization.
"One stop along my career path was serving as the personnel director in a state prison for men. At first blush, one might think what is a nice girl like me doing in a place like this? This employment experience was packed with amazing opportunities for learning about conflict. I was charged with negotiating with 9 separate unions, developing and implementing policies, investigating, facilitating and resolving multiple grievances per week (which diminished to 0 grievances within about 10 months) and supervising a 3-week pre-employment training program for all job classifications within the prison.
"This challenge required me to utilize all I had ever learned previously and then some. As an employer, a prison system never closes – 24/7, 365 days a year. There aren't substitutes for Correctional Officers, which means when employees take legitimate sick and vacation days, someone else picks up an additional 8-hour shift at overtime rates. When budgets get tight, stress increases and conflict escalates. It was a truly a gift to bring me greater understanding and an intensive course in practical conflict resolution skill building.
Alberta
"Alberta ...is the kind of person who comes your way once in a long, long time. She has it all together. You just can't contain your amazement at how all that talent, energy, intelligence, skill, poise, commitment and integrity – yes, integrity – got there ...I have been impressed with her insight into my field...into the theoretical base of conflict and the practitioner's world of conflict management ...She is a rare find."
- Former Director, Center for the Practice of Conflict Management, Miami, FL"One of her [Alberta's] strongest assets is her ability...to orchestrate the outstanding performance of a group as a whole irrespective of the deficiencies of individual members by concentrating on group strengths and consistently reinforcing the positive contributions of individuals. She has the ability to perceive potential contributions of individuals and encourages a cooperative and sharing approach which produces a 'team' that is stronger and more productive than the mere sum of its parts."
- Ridgecrest, CA"I have been very impressed by the quality of the training our company received through Alberta. The outcomes were so good, that I encouraged several other companies and groups to use her services. Her training abilities have my unqualified endorsement. We will definitely be calling on her in the future."
- Butte, MT"In my position as labor counsel..., I rate [Alberta] as the finest personnel administrator I have had the honor of working with. She is compassionate at the appropriate time but is a fine negotiator. She has a good legal mind, able to understand the fine points and implications of often obscure legal distinctions. She has also proven an excellent witness on the several occasions I have called her as a witness. She has also been of high value in helping to prepare cases and other witnesses."
- San Francisco, CAI served with Alberta on an advisory board of a non-profit for several years. Over that time I learned from Alberta's consummate skills as a mediator and bridge builder. Her training helped us work together effectively, setting and accomplishing important goals, even though the board members often held very different points of view. Her sense of humor, strong business background and ability to remain heart-centered in the midst of conflict was a key asset.
We have since worked together in other organizations. I have always found Alberta's conflict resolution checklists to help the organizations effectively run meetings and gain consensus on action steps. Her skill sets bring out a better spirit of cooperation and mutual respect necessary to get work done.
One of my biggest lessons learned with Alberta is that despite best intentions, conflict may sometimes remain unresolved. These unresolvable situations taught me how to remain in good-will as well as define my choices, principles, and boundaries.
Alberta is a wonderful coach, she brings out the best and fine tunes the rest!
